Sea Kayaking II: Oakland Estuary    $99

In this inspiring class we work extensively on boat lean and edging for ultimate control and maneuverability. We review rescues, introduce basic navigation techniques, fine tune the forward stroke, and learn some new strokes. This class is the stepping stone to the Surf Zone and beyond.
Prerequisites: Beginning Sea Kayaking (or equivalent; you must have practiced wet-exit and rescue procedures within the year). Recent paddling STRONGLY recommended, such as twice paddling in the previous 2 months.


Whitewater 201: South Fork American (2 Days)    $179

Two day intermediate course taught on the South Fork of the American River in Coloma, California. After graduating from our Whitewater 101 course, take this class for a smooth transition into the realm of down river paddling. Let the adventure begin!
Prerequisites: Whitewater 101 (2 Day course) or equivalent. Good physical condition is important to ensure an enjoyable class; river kayaking can be strenuous! The minimum age for Whitewater 201 is 14 years; children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

It's no myth that men and women learn differently. CCK offers our WW101 class designed for women and taught by women. Taught on the South Fork of the American River in Coloma, CA, this class covers the basic strokes and techniques necessary to run the river - the first in our sequence of classes.
Prerequisites: You must be female to participate in this class. Good physical condition is important to ensure an enjoyable class; river kayaking can be strenuous! The minimum age for Whitewater 101 is 14 years; children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Moonlight Paddle on Lake Natoma    $39

Join us for a relaxing evening paddle while we watch the moon rise over the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Stars and moon shimmer with every dip of the paddle in the mirror like surface of the lake, as night herons, beaver, and paddlers become a part of the night sky. Bring your own kayak and receive a 10% discount. Call CCK so we can apply the discount to your reservation for own-boat discount!
NOTE: Moonlight Paddles launch at Willow Creek on Lake Natoma.

Prerequisites: Kayak Basics (or equivalent) for single kayak; novices may paddle in a double kayak with an experienced friend. Note: Good physical condition is required to assure an enjoyable trip.
Trips may be cancelled due to poor weather.

Moonlight paddling is enchanting! The water is calm and glassy on the Oakland Estuary and the city lights add to the ambiance. We enjoy a leisurely pace as the sun sets and the moon rises, illuminating a delightful evening.
