If you are new to this classic sport, or finally want to learn proper canoeing technique, this class is for you! Learn and practice the strokes, maneuvers, and rescue techniques that will make you a safe and efficient paddler. Get the answer to the burning question: "In tandem paddling, who's in charge?" Modern canoeing is exciting as well as relaxing, depending on the paddlers' preferences and moods. A coupon for a future free canoe rental is included.
Prerequisites: There are no prerequisites for this class; however, good physical condition is required to assure an enjoyable class.

Learn and practice basic strokes, maneuvers, and rescue technique that will make you a safer, more efficient paddler. Modern canoeing can be exciting or relaxing, it's up to you. A coupon for a future free canoe rental is included.

Intro to River Canoeing    $109
                 
Learn to explore our local wealth of mild rivers safely in a canoe. Take the skills learned in our Calm Water Class and apply them to moving currents. This class will turn you into a safe and confident river paddler in a controlled environment. Eddy turns, peel-outs, ferrys, and rescues are just some of the skills we work on. Prerequisite: Calm Water Canoeing

Tailored to fit your learning style and pace -- and your personal schedule -- private instruction allows you to get exactly what you want out of a class. You can also request your favorite instructor time and time again!
