Kayak Rolling - Northern California Swimstitute    $60

PLEASE NOTE: Sacramento area roll classes and open roll practice is now held at the heated/indoor pool at "Northern California Swimstitute"...right next door to our shop in Rancho Cordova.

Build your confidence and learn to roll! Rolling is the safest and fastest self rescue technique available for white water paddlers and sea kayakers. We have heated pools in the Sacramento and Bay Area for the most comfortable learning environment.
Class Day and Time: Every Friday evening from 6:30pm-8:30pm
Please pay close attention to date/day and class time of your reservation. Rolling Students who have signed up for the Class should meet the instructor at the pool at 6:30pm.
Open Roll Practice Only Sessions (non-instructional) are 7:00pm-8:30pm: YOU MUST RINSE OFF YOUR BOAT INSIDE AND OUT PRIOR TO ENTERING POOL ~ a hose is available for this purpose at both the CCK boat house as well as the rear of the building at the Swimstitute. Practice rollers pay $10 pool fee (with your own kayak) - pay fee directly to the Swimstitute staff upon arrival. Drop ins welcome. If you need to rent a Whitewater boat for a practice session, please call or drop by the CCK retail shop before 6pm (subject to availability)...CCK Sac Shop - (916) 851-3600.
Note: Kayak rolling is taught in whitewater kayaks due to space limitations in the pool and to facilitate the learning process.

Prerequisites: There are no prerequisites for this class; HOWEVER, previous paddling experience is highly recommended. Your progression will be quicker if you have completed Beginning Sea Kayaking or Whitewater 101. The minimum age for Roll Class is 5 years; children under 18 years must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

5 Day Full Immersion - Trinity River    $699
                  
Enjoy a vacation during your whitewater education! - No previous kayak experience necessary! Because of the serenity, diverse river opportunities, and lack of crowds, the Trinity 5-day wins the award for student and instructor favorite! Join us for fun, learning and adventure! Custom trips can be made for groups (4 or more people) if selected dates do not work for your group.

Whitewater 101: American River (2 Day Class)    $249
                  
Start exploring rivers the right way with professional instruction from California Canoe & Kayak. Reliable flows and great weather make the South Fork American River one of the best rivers to learn on in the world. This two day class will cover balance and control of the kayak while learning to navigate class 1 and 2 rapids. New in 2015, Lunch will be provided.

Two day intermediate course taught on the South Fork of the American River in Coloma, California. After graduating from our Whitewater 101 course, take this class for a smooth transition into the realm of down river paddling. Let the adventure begin! *Price includes lunch!

River running with the FUN series Clinic with Coli    $89
                  
Catch those waves that you've always wanted to in this clinic hosted by Jackson Pro Paddlers Colin Kemp and Hilde Schweitzer, and feel the river in a new way! We will run the exciting Class 3/4 Chili Bar section on the South Fork American River. The new 2015 Jackson Fun will be the boat of choice for this clinic. Creek Boat Clinic with Phil Boyer and Brian Tupper    $89
                  
Need some tips on driving your creek boat and not letting it drive you? Let Jackson Pro paddlers Phil Boyer and Brian Tupper help you out. Phil and Brian will lead you down the class 3/4 Chile Bar section of the South Fork American River and take some more technical lines and give you some tips as well. Jackson's planning-hull creek boat the Karma will be available to demo. The Karma, if you haven't tried one, is the most stable creek boat on the market.

Playboating Clinic with Emily Jackson & Jessica    $89
                  
Come play with Jackson Pro Paddlers Emily Jackson and Jessica Yurtinus on the South Fork American River. Want to learn to surf, cartwheel, stern squirt? Emily and Jessica will have the Jackson Rockstars for you to try out, and they'll have you trying out some new moves and playing the river like never before. This clinic will be on the class 2 Coloma to Greenwood section of the South Fork American River but a solid roll from participants is expected. Have you tried the Jackson Karma Unlimited or Karma Rock Garden Boat? Miss the days of old when the boats where over 10 feet long? If you are yearning for some extra hull speed and you want to try out the latest in long boat designs, take this clinic with World Kayak ambassador Toby Ebens and Greg Didriksen. The Jackson Karma UL will be available to demo for this clinic. This clinic will paddle the class 2 section of Coloma to Greenwood creek.
