Reservations are recommended (with deposits) for hourly rentals; call ahead and we'll have your kayaks ready! All rentals include paddles & PFDs. Wetsuits available.

If you already have a reservation at our Pillar Point Harbor location and you get lost on your way there, you think you may be late, the number in your party has changed, etc, please give us a courtesy call and let us know by calling the site at 650-728-1803.

All rentals are for harbor use only to qualified participants. You must have completed a Beginning Sea Kayaking class or equivalent to rent a sea kayak; no experience necessary for Sit-On-Top kayaks.

- All rentals include paddle(s) & PFD(s). Paddle jackets & wetsuits are available for an additional charge.
- First-come, first-served. We do NOT take reservations at the Oakland location.
- Renters are required to read and sign a liability release.
- Children weighing less than 50lbs must provide their own Type III Coast Guard Approved PFD (lifejacket).

• Singles: $15 per hour
• Doubles: $25 per hour
• Canoes: $25 per hour

Note: (In Oakland's Jack London Square store location only) An on site rental will never be charged more than a one day take away rental price. Due to higher operating costs, this policy does not apply to Rancho Cordova's Willow Creek on-site rental operation.

Available in Oakland - Season Rental Passes on-site rentals only during business hours.

Open 7 days a week -10 am to 6 pm - The last rentals leave the store at 4:00 pm and all boats must be off the water by 5:30 pm.

Kayak Rentals at Willow Creek access on Lake Natoma

Seasonal Location Only- Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend (June, July, August).

Operates on Weekends and Holidays Only from 10am - 5pm.

• $10 an hour for a Single Kayaks and S.U.P.s
• $15 an hour for a Double Kayaks and Canoes

A valid (visa or master only) credit card and drivers license are required for all rentals.

Willow Creek hourly-on-the-water rentals are NOT limited to full day take away rate.

First come first serve ~ No reservations are taken at Willow Creek.

There is a $5 charge for parking by the State Park, and no ranger in attendance so please bring exact change.

Directions:
From the East: (Placerville, South Lake Tahoe) Take Hwy 50 exit at Folsom Blvd. (Just after Prairie City Rd.) Get in the left turn lane at the end of the off ramp. Make a left onto Folsom Blvd. Heading east on Folsom. At the third major intersection, Blue Ravine Rd. make a u-turn, you are now heading west on Folsom Blvd. Look for the Willow Creek State Park access on the right just before the next intersection. It is hidden so keep a look out!

From the West: (Bay area, Downtown Sacramento): Take Hwy 50, 20 minutes east of Sacramento to the Folsom Blvd exit just past Hazel Ave and Aero Jet. Take a left off the ramp heading east on Folsom Blvd. At the third major intersection, Blue Ravine Rd., make a u-turn; you are now heading west on Folsom Blvd. Look for the Willow Creek State Park access on the right just before the next intersection. It is hidden so keep a look out!

Rental Policies         top of page

1. (OAK & HMB Only) Reservations are accepted for groups of 4 or more on weekdays only. Groups that want to paddle on the weekend will need to set up a guided trip through our Customer Service Center (800) 366-9804.
2. Payment in full is required to hold a reservation.
3. For refund, a cancellation must be made a minimum of 7 days in advance.
4. One boat rental per person. NO EXCEPTIONS.
5. Each individual renting a boat must sign a liability release in person at time of pick up. Each person must provide deposit for his/her boat rental.
6. Drivers license and/or credit card deposit is required for on-site rentals.
7. CCK does not provide car racks or tie-downs for take-away boat rentals. These items are available for purchase in our stores.
8. Paddle jackets, wetsuits and additional gear are available for rent.
9. California Sales Tax will be added to all rentals.

Dry Suit Rental Policy         top of page

CCK now has three large Front Entry Gortex drysuit available to rent.  

Available at the Oakland or Rancho Cordova locations.
Our normal policy of picking up after 4:00 pm and returning by noon applies.
Size: Men's large

What you need to know as the customer:

-   Thoroughly inspect suit before leaving the store.
-   When not using the suit make sure that all zippers are open.
-   Do not walk on the socks of the suit without shoes or sandals on.
-   Do not cut the neck gasket or wrist gaskets.
-   Make sure that all zippers are fully closed and parked before getting into the boat.
-   Ask about wearing the proper thermal layer under the suit for optimal performance.
-   Suit must be rinsed and clean upon return.  Do not use detergent when cleaning, just water.
-   You are responsible for leaving a $1,000.00 deposit, same with all other rentals, for the suit.
-   If you cut or alter the gaskets, you will be responsible for replacement.
-   A refund of the full rental will be applied to the purchase of a new drysuit for up to one week only after suit is returned.

1st Day: $35.00
2nd and each additional day: $25.00

Eppies Great Race Kayak Rentals         top of page

We will begin taking reservations for Eppies Great Race on Wednesday, June 1st. Don't be left floating down river without your kayak! $100 gets you a week's worth of practice time in your rental boat and delivery back to the Sacramento store after the race. To make your reservation, call 916-851-3600.

A few policy reminders:

1. All Eppies reservations are first come first serve. No holding or reserving w/o payment is permited.
2. All reservations must be paid in full at time of the reservation.
3. All paid Eppies rental reservations are final. No refunds for any reason will be given. No exceptions.
4. Due to the volume of rentals during Eppies Great Race, CCK will not provide/rent sprayskirts or helmets for the race. PFDs and Paddles are the only gear provided with your paid rental.
5. Each individual renting a boat must sign a liability release in person at time of pick up.
6. Each person must provide a credit card deposit for his/her boat rental.
7. CCK does not provide carracks or tie-downs for take-away boat rentals. These items are available for purchase in our stores.
8. All of CCK's general "Rental Policies" found above are applicable to your Eppies rental.
9. You are responsible for the pick up and transportation to the race of your kayak rental.
10. You may pick up your rental on the Monday prior to the race (July 12th).
11. You may purchase additional rental days at the established daily rate
12. IMPORTANT: All rental boats will need to be checked-in with a CCK staff member after the race. You are responsible for any lost or stolen boats or gear and any boat not checked-in after the race will be assessed a $50.00 "find-it" fee. If we can not "find it" you will be charged full retail value of the boat per our standard rental policy. No exceptions.
13. You may, of course, choose to transport the boat back to our store yourself. Please let us know that you will be doing this so as to avoid any unnecessary charges.
