Lake Natoma Social Paddle - Weekend $15 Sign Up Now more info top of page Join us for a relaxed social paddle on Lake Natoma. This is a great beginning trip for graduates of the Kayak Basics class. You can introduce a friend to kayaking by paddling together in one of our stable doubles. Now scheduled for weekend afternoons! Start time: 1:00PM; Please try to arrive at least 15 min early. We are on the water at 1:15 PM. PLEASE BE ON TIME - IT IS IMPRACTICAL FOR THE GROUP TO WAIT FOR LATE ARRIVALS! Cost: $15 per person ($5 for participants with own kayaks and gear). Space is limited so book early! Prerequisites: Kayak Basics (or equivalent) for single kayak; novices may paddle in a double kayak with an experienced friend. Join us for a relaxing paddle while we watch the moon rise over the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Stars and moon shimmer with every dip of the paddle in the mirror like surface of the lake, as night herons, beaver, and paddlers become a part of the night sky. CCK has special permission from the Park service allowing us to stay on the water after normal park hours. CCK provides all the paddling equipment - bring your own kayak and join the paddle for only $10; call CCK to sign up so we can apply the discount to your reservation! NOTE: Moonlight Paddles launch at Willow Creek on Lake Natoma. Prerequisites: Kayak Basics (or equivalent) for single kayak; novices may paddle in a double kayak with an experienced friend. Lower Feather River $79 Sign Up Now more info top of page Join us for the next adventure in our series of Eco Trips this winter: an easy river tour down the Lower Feather River in the Great Central Valley! We paddle through the Oroville Wildlife Area, with it's lush woodland habitats and bird rookeries. Below the historic town of Oroville, the Wildlife Area is an 11,000 acre preserve along the river. Wildlife species observed here include coyote, badger, fox, bobcat, porcupine, osprey, white-tailed kite, egrets, woodpeckers, and warblers. Our trip is downriver all the way; paddling with the current, we'll cover about 10 miles. Your trip leader for this special excursion is ACA Instructor Trainer Bryant Burkhardt.
