Birding by Kayak - Pillar Point Harbor    $79
                 
Join naturalist and kayak instructor Gregg Berman for a fascinating look at the diverse environment of Pillar Point Harbor. Get up close and personal with marine birds, harbor seals and other wildlife. In our time together we'll focus not simply on identifying species but on connecting to the environment we're navigating. We'll also look for ways the life around us is interconnected exploring coloration, buoyancy and other adaptations. No previous experience necessary for double kayaks.
Trip duration: 10AM - 2PM

California Canoe & Kayak offers an easy introduction to sea kayaking for your private party or business group. This is a great way to get outside and enjoy the natural setting of Half Moon Bay. (For corporate groups, ask us about the many excellent conference facilities available on the coastside.) After the kayaking, visit one of the fine restaurants in the area, or head to a coastside B&B for a great overnight retreat!

Alcatraz & Angel Island Trip    $119
                 
Join us for a full day paddle around two of San Francisco Bay's most iconic and beautiful islands. Steeped in history and abundant in wildlife, both Alcatraz and Angel Island provide a unique and challenging experience for the sea kayaker. We will use the tidal currents to help us cover approximately 11 miles round trip from Horseshoe Bay (Marin County). You will learn about tidal planning, fundamental kayak navigation, group management, and boat control while paddling in potentially choppy seas. This trip will be fun and challenging for intermediate level paddlers.
Prerequisites: L3: Coastal Kayak Skills Development or equivalent training. Recent paddling experience is essential! The minimum age for this program is 14 years; children under 18 years must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Bodega Bay Open Coast Trip    $129
                 
Hidden away on the northern boundary of Marin County is a rare gem of roadless coastline. Join open coast connoisseur Bill Vonnegut as we launch from Dillon Beach, surf a few waves, then head north to explore the many fine rock gardens in the heart of Bodega Bay! We'll land at the mouth of Estero Americano before returning to Dillon Beach. This journey is for experienced open coast paddlers only! Total paddling distance is approximately 8 miles. Plastic sea kayaks recommended but not compulsory; no kayaks less than 10 feet in length please. Helmets mandatory!
Note: Itinerary subject to change with prevailing wind and swell conditions. Alternate plans include paddling from Dillon Beach to Tomales Point and into Tomales Bay.

Join us for one of the most spectacular open coast kayaking trips on the West Coast! We launch from Muir Beach in Marin County and paddle south along the stunning and intricate coastline of the Marin Headlands. After rounding rugged Point Bonita, we'll ride a gentle flood tide through the one and only Golden Gate to Horseshoe Cove, just inside the Gate. We'll wrap up a world class sea kayaking day with a refreshment at the Presidio Yacht Club. Combine this day with the Bolinas to Muir Beach paddle on June 21st for an unforgettable sea kayaking weekend and a great way to celebrate the summer solstice!

Tomales Bay - Mouth of the Bay    $119
                 
Join CCK instructor Sean Morley on a trip to the mouth of Tomales Bay to play in the surf (conditions will determine how much playing we can do). We will launch at Miller County Park, Nick's Cove and paddle with the ebb tide exploring the pristine western shoreline of Tomales Bay to the mouth. This is a guided trip with an element of instruction and play thrown in.

Launching from the public boat ramp on Redwood Creek in Redwood City, we cruise through a paddler's paradise of intimate waterways and tidal marshes within a national wildlife refuge. This is a fun day of easy paddling in a spectacular, calm-water wonderland right in our own backyard!
