Paddlefest Skills Clinics and Demo are designed for you to get the best service and quality attention from our staff of expert paddlers and manufacturers reps. Our goal is to provide you with good information and skills so you can make an informed decision on what paddle craft is best for you.

Kayak Control & Paddling Clinic
Our instructors will share paddling & kayak control techniques to help you have a more enjoyable paddling experience on the water.

Sit-on-top Rescues Clinic
Paddling with a friend it is important to understand the basic of an assisted rescue. Watch and learn the technique for helping someone re-enter their kayak. So important to know to get back on a kayak safely.

Family Canoeing with Friends of the River
Want to paddle with your family. Let us show you how to plan and paddle together in Canoe or Kayak safely and efficiently.

Essentials Surfski Paddling with Ken Howell
Learn the essentials of Surfski paddling from Epic Paddler Kenny Howell.

Freshwater Kayak Fishing Presentation
If you are 16 yrs or over and plan to fish you will need a California Fishing License for the on-water portion of this clinic. Please bring your fishing rod and gear as we'll have a limited number of rods for people to rent. One day fishing license available here

Hobie Island Sailing
The Basic set up and Sailing a Hobie Island. On water Demo. This may take place later in day depending on wind conditions.

Youth Kayak Clinic
Just us kids out here. Let us get your kids on the water for a fun way to learn how to paddle safely. Divided by Age Group; 7-10 & 11-13 - Parents must be present to sign waiver.

Saltwater Kayak Fishing Presentation/Seminar
Ocean fishing is exhilarating come join CCK's Hobie Kayak Fishing team will share their tips and expertise about the best practices of Kayak fishing in salt water.

2019 Paddlefest ~ Not just a demo day we will provide you with expert advice and information with clinics that focus on practical learning for canoeing, kayaking, and surfskiing.

Learn all about the ins and outs of the Hobie Mirage Kayaks and the Hobie Mirage Eclipse. Demo the New Hobie Mirage Passport. The manufacturers’ reps will provide you the low-down on all the different types of paddle craft so you choose the one that works best for you. Our instruction staff will conduct clinics so you can learn paddle skills; learn best practices for family days on the water, and more. California Canoe & Kayak Fishing Team will be there to guide you on the best ways to outfit your Hobie Kayak for your kayak fishing trips.

You will also have the chance to demo new kayaks, canoes, surfskis, and pedal driven kayaks.

We are all about quality, informative experience for you and your whole family. The event is one day only rain or shine.

Space is limited, registration in advance is required. Skill clinic fees are fully refundable if you purchase a kayak, canoe or board from us by June 30, 2019. You will have opportunity to demo in the morning session there some boats will not be available they will be used in Clinics.
