What is included in your Rental fee:

• Paddle, PFD (Life Vest), and leash for SUP boards.
• Wetsuit and Paddling Jacket...additional fee applied.

Call us to set up an appointment to test drive a Hobie Mirage Kayak (limited availability), Kayak, or SUP?

• Please call (510) 893-7833 to set up an appointment with one of our staff.
• WED-SUN 10:30-2:00 PM.
• There is a fee to demo. It will be applied to your kayak or SUP purchase within 30 days of demo.
• 24 hours' advance notice is advised but not required.

Important Things To Know

• Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to complete any necessary paperwork.
• A driver's License must be left as a deposit during the rental.
• On-site rentals include paddle, PFD, and leash for SUP boards.
• Optional paddle jackets and wetsuits are available for an additional charge of $5.00 each.
• Each individual renter is required to read and sign a liability release waiver.
• Minors under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. NO EXCEPTIONS.
• NO ALCOHOL consumption allowed while renting from California Canoe & Kayak.
• Booking Fee and California Sales Tax will be added to all rentals.
• No Refund for no show and/or unused time.
• Last-minute cancellation is always possible. FULL CREDIT toward rebooking or a refund will be issued if California Canoe & Kayak is forced to cancel a rental for any reason. In such cases, our liability extends to the cost of the rental only, not travel and accommodations.
• If you want to rent a traditional touring sea kayak, you must have taken a Beginning Sea Kayaking Skill Course and successfully completed a self-rescue (Paddle Float Rescue).
